I have been teaching Senior High Bible study at Weddington Church, and I really enjoy it. This week we talked about

love in the sense of
agape, not merely love that we see and show here on Earth.  I think it's a lesson that is relevant to all of us. The youth and I talked about what it means to love selflessly and to love graciously, and how Jesus has exhibited this to us.  What a challenge: to love others as much and as well as Jesus has loved us.

1 Corinthians 13 talks about "speaking in tongues of men and angels" but lacking love, an illustration and statement that everything we do
CAN be done without love. If we are preaching the Gospel using words, but lacking in love, we make the Gospel mere noise. PRAY that our Africa team, myself especially, never forget how to preach the Gospel with love, and when words run out, that we never fail to love each other and the people over there.

Philippians 1:9-11 is spoken well in the Message version of the Bible, where it says," Even more love, that is what I pray that God gives you. That your love will abound and take its stand in Jesus, that your roots go deep in the love of Christ. Learn to love appropriately.  Live a life of love that makes God proud. And I pray that you
make Jesus stunningly beautiful and believable to everyone that you encounter."

Am I making Jesus beautiful and believable to everyone I encounter? I don't want to live a life that simply makes noise, but one that paints a stunningly beautiful picture of who Jesus is.

"He must become greater, I must become less and less.." John 3:30
